We want to say "Thank You" to everyone that loves and cherishes our children. To those that make the effort to be in their lives whether it be making time to see them when we're in town or phone calls, Skype, pictures, and messages. The effort that you make to be a part of their lives, makes us feel so very loved! We are blessed with wonderful family and friends and you are always in our hearts. It's not easy to live so far away from people that you love, but you make the distance between us disappear. It's a wonderful age of technology when we can keep these close relationships despite living worlds apart. I want you all to know that we are eternally grateful for your love.
This was sparked by a conversation that Kaylee and I had earlier. We were talking about family and friends. She started talking about all of the people that love her and Evan, how cool it is that she has family all over the "world." I love it! She started talking about the people that call and skype often with us, those that share pictures or send messages to the kids. We all get excited when our postcards from Great Grandparents Linda and Robert arrive. It just reminds me that not everyone makes that effort and those who do, stand out in a big way. The gift of love is amazing, thank you for sharing it with us!

Maybe it's the time of year, or maybe it's because I've had both kids and my hubby home for two weeks, but I can't stop smiling! Spending this time with them has been exactly what I needed to finish off this crazy year, and believe me it was a crazy year. My sweet little family is my whole world and it's an incredibly beautiful world to live in. I am blessed!
My handsome husband is amazing, incredible, intelligent and super sexy. I mean seriously, any girl in her right mind would be mesmerized by those gorgeous brown eyes. He is a charmer and I can't stop falling in love with him. No one can make me laugh the way he does and no one is as comforting to me as he is. We started this life journey together not knowing where it would lead us, just knowing that we were madly in love. This life we've made is perfect to us. Of course there are stresses in our life that come and go, but we can take on this world and anyone in it together. We laugh, we love, we learn, and we have way too much fun together. Kaylee. Our beautiful, sweet, creative, and dramatic Princess. When she came into our lives, she brought a whole new dimension of love that we didn't know existed. Of course I would have been happy to have a healthy baby boy, but I REALLY wanted a girl first. Having our very own little darling to dress in pink ruffles and lace, to sing to, and to cherish. She is a dream come true for both of us. My mini me, she is the best friend a girl could ask for. She loves to wear my make up and paint my nails, it's like a never ending slumber party with her in this house. I love our girly time and our girl talks. Being her Mommy has enriched my life in so many ways. Having a daughter is an amazing gift and I am eternally grateful to the one that gave me her. I'm her biggest fan and her best friend. I look forward to doing all of the things that Mothers and Daughters do. My little beauty is meant for great things in her life, I'm so lucky to have a front row seat!
My Bo! This super sweet, ever-so-loving, charming, and brave little superhero is our favorite boy in the world. He is the best plan that we ever made. Evan has challenged me more than anything else in my life. He has made me stronger, better, happier, and more patient than anyone else could have. This little one surprises me every day with his chivalrous spirit, opening doors for the women in his life and telling me he loves me ten times a day. Evan has a true gift, his sweet and spunky spirit attracts any and all that are near him. This boy shines bright! I love to see the way he looks at his Daddy, it truly melts me heart. This boy completes our puzzle! I can't wait to see what this incredible little man does in this life.

2013...the big 30!
Going into 2013 I'd like to take a minute to reflect on my life thus far. By the great age of 30 I have fallen head over heals in love and married my Prince Charming, who then swept me away to Arizona. I've given birth to two beautiful healthy children, and enjoyed watching them grow. We've lived in three different states, bought our first home and two cars. We have been fortunate enough to enjoy two "honeymoons," and travel from coast to coast together. I've got an awesome job that allows me to spend 99.6% of my time with my family. For some people this life may seem boring, but for me this is everything that I've ever wanted. Happiness. I've experienced some difficult times too, but I have come out of them stronger and better. I've met so many great people that I feel blessed to know, lost one that I should've known better, and discovered a few that I didn't really know at all. When I look in the mirror I see a happy person, someone who is loving and loved. I love being a wife, I LOVE BEING A MOM! I've squeezed every ounce of happiness out of my first 30 years and I've had some really wonderful life experiences, now I'm ready for the next chapter. Bring on the big 30, I'm ready.

2012: May - August
May would bring my husband back home by dinnertime, no more crunching! We were so glad that life was getting back to normal. The EA family picnic was at Universal Studios, we had a nice lunch at the NBA restaurant followed by rides and fun. It was Birthday month, which is always a good month in our house. I spent the first two weeks planning and shopping for Kaylee's 6th birthday party in CANDY LAND! I can't even believe that my baby girl is SIX! The two of us had so much fun making decorations and coming up with fun ideas for the party. It turned out WONDERFULLY! On my birthday I came home from an accupuncture appointment feeling great, only to find that all three of my family members would be taking the day off to spend my birthday with me. We packed up and headed to Cocoa beach, where we would spend the entire day, followed by dinner on the pier. This was my favorite birthday yet! Five days later we celebrated 7 amazing years of marriage! May was a wonderful month. Schools out for summer!
June was busy! My cousins came to visit, which was awesome! We took them to Disney World and spent some time downtown. Kaylee and Evan introduced them to Chick-fil-A. A few days after they left, my Mom came out for her fourth visit of the year. She came specifically for Kaylee's 1st dance recital! Our ballerina was absolutely wonderful and made us extremely proud. She was also the cutest one on stage with the most beautiful smile. We celebrated David and my Mom's birthday (the 13th twins) by taking the day off of work and heading to our favorite beach. It was a beautiful day to play in the ocean and build sand castles.
July was hot, not nearly as bad as I expected it to be. I definitely prefer Florida summers over Arizona summers. Our first 4th of July in Florida was fun filled with bouncy activities and a concert downtown, followed by BBQ and fireworks with friends. We went to the Disney water park in mid July, it was so much fun(I really like having season passes to Disney World)! Weekends were spent in in the water and weekdays were spent playing indoors with friends. At the end of the month I had the second round of injections in my lower back NO FUN.
August....I would love to forget! Back pain, bombshell after bombshell, back stabbing, hypocrisy, lyinglots of lying. Nasty emails full of hate and judgement, fake people. Grrr. I took the kids to California to be with family for ten days. It was exhausting and just not a great trip. All three of us just wanted to go home.

Christmas Eve
It's Christmas Eve already! I can hardly believe how fast this year has gone by. But here we are, my favorite time of year. Our house is draped in red and gold, snowflakes dangling in the windows, and eggnog chilling in the fridge. We are mere hours away from opening our first present, Christmas pajamas that have been washed, wrapped and ready to wear.
This being my absolute favorite time of year and so close to the holiday, my Mom is here for her annual Nonny's Christmas visit! It's her favorite time to be here with us. There is something extra special about being in Winter Park during the holidays. Is it the generosity that greets you everywhere you go? Maybe it's the warm and fuzzy feeling of the community coming together for holiday events. This beautiful little town really shines during this time. Whatever it is, it's wonderful and I just can't believe how amazing it feels.
Christmas to me, has always been a time of tradition, a time to appreciate family and the love we share. A time of blessings and joy, which we have in abundance. Christmas should never be a time to rush, or feel overwhelmed. In the past seven years, we've spent each Christmas away from home. Usually running from place to place, feeling exhausted and a little overwhelmed. Each year Dave asks if we can just stay home, enjoy Christmas with just the four of us and make that our new tradition. Finally, this year and each year after he will get his perfect Christmas. 2012 is the year that we have the Christmas that we've always wanted. No traveling, no luggage, no counting down the minutes until we get home. We are home and here we will stay...amazing.

There are no words to express this feeling of loss, my heart breaks for every Mother that goes to bed without her child tonight. While shopping at Costco today I received a call from Kaylee's school, 45 minutes before school let out. My heart sank, my mind blurred, and my eyes filled with tears. I was terrified, why are they calling me right now, did it happen? is my daughter okay? I answered the phone and just about fell to my knees, it was a regular update on school functions. On this day? When I picked her up from school, I threw my arms around and squeezed in every ounce of Kaylee. She said "Mommy your hugging me too tight," I broke down and cried "it's because I CAN." No Mother should ever have to fear that sending their child to school is a death warrant.
